Small Countries in Big Literatures
Please join us at the reunion reading of BEN BUSH and CHARLOTTE CROWE - two Sozopol Fiction Seminars' fellows who will be reading from literary works set in Bulgaria and in Greece.
The reading is part of the series Small Counties in Big Literatures embracing Anglophone literature set elsewhere in the world.
BEN BUSH is a graduate of the Iowa Writers' Workshop, a 2017-2018 Fulbright Fellow to Bulgaria, and a contributing editor for The Organist podcast from McSweeney's / KCRW. His work has appeared in The Iowa Review, The Literary Review, Yeti, The Fanzine, Salon, Bookforum, The Believer, Los Angeles Review of Books, Poets & Writers, and San Francisco Chronicle.
CHARLOTTE CROWE holds an MFA from the Iowa Writers' Workshop and an MA in English from the University of Oxford, where she completed a dissertation on Virginia Woolf and Jane Ellen Harrison, the first female classicist and archaeologist in the UK. A 2017 Emerging Writer Fellow at the Center for Fiction, she currently works at the Brooklyn Public Library and is writing her first novel.
